Location: Palembang, Indonesia
What she sells: Pempek (lenjer, adaan, kapal selam) + cuko
Her story:
Ibu Tasya has been making pempek for years—simple ingredients, steady hands, and a taste that always brings people back. Every morning starts early: preparing fish, shaping the dough, and mixing cuko until it’s just right.

What he sells:
Chicken satay (peanut sauce) + rice cake (lontong) / rice + sweet iced tea
His story:
Pak Yoyo starts selling in the late afternoon and stays until night—right on the street, under warm stall lights and passing traffic. His hands move fast but calmly: fanning the charcoal, turning the skewers, then coating them with thick peanut sauce.
People don’t come back only because it’s “delicious”—they come back because it’s consistent, comforting, and simple in the best way. For Pak Yoyo, every skewer is a way to keep going, and a way to send people home full and happy.

Fresh gorengan (bakwan, tahu isi, tempe, pisang goreng) + chili & sauce options.
Her story:
Mbak Rachel starts early—mixing batter, slicing tempe and tofu, and setting up while the street is still quiet. By late morning, the oil is warm, the tray is full, and people begin to stop “just for one”… then leave with a bag. Her stall is simple, but the feeling is always the same: crispy comfort, quick smiles, and a small moment of home in the middle of a busy day.
